Pacific Gas and Electric Co.

On December 20, 2003 a fire broke out in PG&E's unmanned Mission substation. A cable failure started the fire that burned for about two hours before crews from the utility responded. The fire caused extensive smoke damage to the facility and left 119,000 customers in San Francisco without power for up to 30 hours.
