Chicago Transit Authority

In 2001, Ki Shih was attending the University of Chicago. While bicycling to class on Hyde Park Boulevard, a bus traveling in the same direction, hit her. Shih was knocked her off her bicycle and run over. The university student suffered multiple fractures in her pelvis and filed a personal injury lawsuit against the Chicago Transit Authority who has agreed to pay her a $5 million settlement.
