In May 2001, Anna Mongey was teaching at the Lindsworth Special School in Kings Norton when a recently released felon confronted and threatened her in a class room. Mongey was left traumatized by the intruder and was unable to return to work. She launched legal action following the incident alleging the school didn't provide adequate safety provisions for its employees.
