City of Chicago

In 1993, 17-year-old Lafonso Rollins was convicted of attempted rape of a 78-year-old woman. He spent 11 1/2 years in prison, but was freed in July 2004 when DNA testing proved his innocence. Rollins filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city for his wrongful conviction. The city of Chicago has agreed to a tentative $9 million settlement. (Jan-27-06) [CBS 2 CHICAGO]
