This is a settlement for the Trademark, Copyright, Patent lawsuit.
Major music and movie companies have been in a four year legal battle with the software company for allegedly violating copyright laws over the internet. Users of Grokster's software were able to tap into each other's computers to make free copies of copyrighted songs, movies, and games. Grokster agreed to stop distributing the program and pay $50 million in damages. (Nov-11-05)
