Four city employees filed four separate lawsuits against former Police Chief Kenneth Dobson for harassment. Former police records clerk Cheryl Chuba, Leutenant Lori Sanford, and Inspector Michael Cameron claimed Dobson retaliated against them after testifying in depositions in a discrimination lawsuit filed by police officer Marcos Madrigal. Madrigal had sued Dobson and the city in 2001 alleging ethnic and racial discrimination and was awarded a $4.14 million settlement. In this set of lawsuits, police officer Madrigal received $2.7 million, Chuba received $115,000, Sanford received $35,000, and Cameron got $5,000. (Oct-04-05) [DETROIT FREE PRESS]
