Dow, DuPont Dow Elastomers, and E.I. du Pont Nemours

A class action lawsuit was filed against the three companies claiming they conspired to fix prices of Neoprene, a synthetic rubber used in the manufacture of many consumer products. A Tennessee Circuit Court Judge and jury found it impossible to identify individuals harmed through the defendants' actions and directed the $2.9 million settlement fee go to an appropriate charitable or government organization.
