FedEx Freight East

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit on behalf of African American dockworkers from St. Louis alleging racial discrimination. The lawsuit claimed African Americans were denied promotions from part-time to full-time jobs at the company's trucking terminal in St. Louis. FedEx Freight denied all charges of discrimination, but has agreed to pay the employees a $500,000 settlement. (Oct-24-05) [MSNBC]
