University of California, San Francisco

The U.S. Department of Agriculture charged the university with 61 violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The lawsuit claimed UCSF researchers kept animals in dirty cages and over bred them as well as improperly anesthetized sheep and kept poor records of monkey studies.
