Rod Stewart

The British rocker was paid $2 million in advance for a concert at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Stewart cancelled the Las Vegas show scheduled for December 2000 due to throat surgery. A U.S. District Court jury in Las Vegas found unanimously that Stewart must return the $2 million plus interest incurred over the last five years. Stewart plans to appeal the verdict as he claims the hotel would not let him reschedule as part of their original contract. (Sep-07-05) [REUTERS]
