Spanish Journal editor Robert Miranda filed a civil suit against WTMJ AM radio talk show host Charlie Sykes and his employer Journal Communication. The lawsuit claimed Sykes' web log included remarks regarding Miranda's Pro America protest rally at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee from 1991. Journal Communications has agreed to a $5000 settlement; the money will be given to a college scholarship for a South Division High School student who wants to study journalism. (Jul-27-05)
