Chestnut Hills Apartment

Selenthia Williams and her daughter applied to rent a one bedroom apartment at Chestnut Hills but they were turned down. Williams claims she was denied access because she is a single mother. The Fair Housing Center says, "sleeping arrangements are private, so if an apartment is big enough for two people, it's big enough for any two people." Williams was awarded a $25,000 settlement for housing discrimination. (Jun-16-05) [WWMT NEWS]
