Evergreen International SA

The Taiwan based container shipping company has been found guilty of illegally discharging oily bilge water into international waters. They have been ordered to pay $25 million in fines and community service grants to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Evergreen allegedly spilled over 500 gallons of oil and then attempted to conceal their illegal actions. (Apr-04-05) [BLOOMBERG]
