Graco Children's Products Inc.

Consumer Product Safety Commission has imposed a $4 million penalty for Graco and its subsidiary, Century Products. They allegedly failed to immediately inform the commission after discovering multiple product defects that posed injury risks and violated federal safety standards. The company had car seats, high chairs, strollers and other products that resulted in hundreds of injuries and at least six deaths. The company is also recalling 1.2 million Graco Toddler Beds sold nationwide from 1994 to 2001 that have allegedly caused injuries and broken bones. (Mar-22-05)
