St. Luke's Hospital

Michael Brewer-Berres died at the age of 41 after abdominal surgery performed by Dr. Matthew L. Montgomery. He left behind a wife and three children who sued the hospital and its doctors for medical malpractice. Mr. Brewer-Berres suffered form sleep apnea and should have been kept in intensive care for careful monitoring after surgery; instead he was left to self administer his own pain medication on the medical/surgical floor. Ms. Brewer-Berres claimed the doctors overmedicated her husband and recently won $1.8 million in the malpractice settlement. (Mar-12-05)

My two twin baby girls where in Westchester nicu and was doing really good. Then they sent them to saint Luke's hospital in Newburg and within 2 weeks the both caught RSV and are very ill the doctor even said himself the infection came from a staff me and my wife been going threw alot. They make you put a suit on when come to see them and few times we came there no one was wearing the suits or gloves and touching our babies. Something needs to be done..
