City of Springdale

Springdale land developer Joe Edwards purchased 5 archers of land at the south end of the Springdale Municipal Airport. He intended to build industrial structures but the Federal Aviation Administration expressed concern that the property lays within aviation easement and the runway protection zone. Edwards should not have been sold the property in the first place and was offered $100,000. He obtained legal council and received $475,000 in the settlement. (Feb-22-05) [NWA ONLINE]
