Runaway Tractor

A runaway tractor truck slammed into Evelyn Green's house. The damage from the accident was so severe that Green hasn't been able to live in her home for nine months. The house will have to be torn down and rebuilt at a cost of $125,000. Originally, the trucking company's insurance only offered her $15,000 to demolish the home and $54,000 to rebuild it. Green now reports that they've reached a settlement she's happy with. Lincoln General paid her $125,000 to rebuild the home and another $15,000 to cover other expenses in addition to $15,000 already paid to demolish her home. (Nov-09-04) [WSOC TV]
