A $905,000 settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed on behalf of Dale Sifford whose son Chris Sifford was killed in a Oct. 16, 2000 plane crash that also killed then-Gov. Mel Carnahan. The suit alleged that the crash occurred because two vacuum pumps made by the company failed during the flight, cutting power to instruments critical to flying through the rainy, windy weather that night.
