Transportation Security Administration.

A settlement has been reached in the racial profiling lawsuit filed against the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on behalf of naturalized American Bob Rajcoomar who was illegally detained by Federal Air Marshals. The Marshals claimed that Rajcoomar, a Guyana-born ethnic Asian Indian and retired U.S. Army physician, was "watching too closely" when they were restraining an unruly passenger on a flight flying from Atlanta to Philadelphia on Aug. 31, 2002. Under the terms of settlement, Rajcoomar will receive $50,000 and a written apology from TSA director, Adm. James Loy, and there will be changes to TSA's training and procedures.
