A $1 million dollar voluntary settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed against Gilroy Foods and its owner, ConAgra Foods Inc. The suit, which alleged disability bias, found that the company was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act by denying hire to certain workers. The settlement will provide compensation of $993,500 to workers, include an estimated $500,000 in the form of job offers to thirty-nine workers, and the company will provide ASA training for all management staff.
