Brooke Army Medical Center

A $16.6 million dollar verdict has been awarded to Rebecca Bowman and her family in the malpractice suit filed against Brooke Army Medical Center, and Northeast Methodist Hospital, as well as one of its doctors, Rene B. Lopez. The jury found that the defendants were liable for failing to detect Bowman's heart disorder when she was admitted to their emergency rooms in September and October 1998. (May-11-03)
