Kansas City Power & Light Co., Great Plains Energy Inc., and Hubbell Power Systems Inc.

A $12 million dollar settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed by Melanie Monroe who had a power line fall on her on Feb. 2, 2002 following an ice storm, causing her to lose an arm and a leg. The line also fell on Monroe's husband and two children, with each of them receiving electrical shocks. (Apr-27-03)
