A $750,000 settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed against Wal-Mart by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Justice Department over the company's failure to report safety hazards that were found in defective Weider and Weslo brand exercise gliders. The suit alleged that the company was aware that at least 29 people had been injured by the machines, yet they did not report the defective machine to the Safety Commission.
