This spring, IRE is offering a 10% membership discount to all new and lapsed members. Current members can also take advantage of the discount and renew their memberships at the lower rate.

The promotion is available Monday, April 15 through Friday, May 3.

For the first time, those planning to attend IRE24 have access to discounts from Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines, thanks to the dogged persistence of IRE Board President Brian M. Rosenthal and Affordability Task Force Chair Mark Katches. This year's conference is June 20-23 in Anaheim, California.

There's a wide range of discounts depending on the fare category, from 2 percent for the lowest fares up to 25 percent for international travelers on Delta flights. Some restrictions apply, but the discounts are available a few days before and after the conference. For full details, check out the news release.

The IRE Board of Directors will be meeting via Zoom at 10 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, April 19. The agenda, found here, includes a proposal to clarify membership categories, an update on the spring membership drive, an update on IRE24 and a preliminary report on NICAR24, among other items. A link to the detailed agenda will be posted here before the meeting.

The meeting is open to all current IRE members. To attend the meeting, register at this link. The site will ask you to "purchase a ticket" to attend the event, but the ticket is free. All who register will receive an email with the Zoom information to access the meeting.
