Tomato-Pepper Salmonella Outbreak: It Ain't over till it's Over

Seattle, WA Although government agencies have said that the tomato-pepper Salmonella outbreak "appears to be over," food poisoning attorney Bill Marler has months of litigation ahead. "For those cases where we definitively know where the product came from, lawsuits have been filed or we are in the process of filing," he says.

Tomato Outbreak Update—Interview with Lawyer

Seattle, WA The law firm Marler Clark, LLP has so far been contacted by about two dozen individuals who claim they have contracted salmonellosis that was linked to raw red plum, red Roma, and red round tomatoes, and products containing these three kinds of tomatoes. Currently, the law firm is investigating these claims to determine whether they are part of the outbreak. The individuals suffered gastrointestinal illness and some have been hospitalized.
