FAA Proposes Sweeping New Rules to Fight Pilot Fatigue

Washington, DC U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Randy Babbitt today announced a landmark proposal to fight fatigue among commercial pilots by setting new flight time, duty and rest requirements based on fatigue science.

Survivors found in Dillingham Plane Crash

Dillingham, AK: Four survivors have been rescued from the small plane crash near Dillingham, AK on Monday, August 9th. Sadly, five others, including former Sen. Ted Stevens, were found dead. The National Transportation Safety Board officials hiked to the scene Wednesday and began examining the wreckage. They hope to interview the survivors once their medical conditions are stable.

NASA Chief, Former Senator in Fatal Alaska Plane Crash

Dillingham, AK A small plane crash in Alaska has killed at least five people, and unofficial reports suggest that former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe and former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens maybe among the dead.

152 Killed in Pakistan Plane Crash

Islamabad, Pakistan A plane crash in Pakistan has killed 152 people. The Airblue flight was en route from Karachi to Islamabad. Experts believe it may have veered off course to avoid monsoon rains and crashed in the hills near the country's capital city.

Rochester Plane Crash Kills Three

Rochester, MN A plane crash near Rochester airport has killed three people aboard the plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane narrowly missed a house before flying into a nearby wood.
