Looks like New Jersey hosts Elmiron MDL

Newark, NJ It’s a toss-up: whether to send 80 Elmiron vision loss lawsuits to Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Currently the latter seems to be the best bet. Lawyers have so far filed 80 Elmiron lawsuits and they anticipate hundreds more.

More Elmiron Lawsuits, including Canada Class Actions, and the Impact of Vision Loss

Santa Clara, CA More Elmiron lawsuits are being filed in the U.S. and Canada has filed two class action lawsuits, all alleging the interstitial cystitis drug can cause permanent vision damage.

Elmiron may no longer be Drug Companies’ Golden Goose

Santa Clara, CA In a pharmaceutical manufacturer’s perfect world, patients will take their drug indefinitely to treat an ailment. What Elmiron drug makers don’t want is a cure. And they don’t want the public to know about adverse side effects, such as vision loss.

Under Pressure, Elmiron Manufacturer Updates its Label

Harrisburg, PA Only after pressure from scientists and consumers and mounting Elmiron vision loss lawsuits, Janssen Pharmaceuticals has finally updated its Elmiron interstitial cystitis drug label, adding the risk of developing permanent eye damage to its side effects. But a quick scan online shows that numerous health sites and pharmacies have not received the memo.

Elmiron Vision Loss Lawsuits Mounting

Santa Clara, CA On the heels of studies linking the bladder drug Elmiron to vision loss, lawsuits are being filed nationwide against Janssen Pharmaceuticals, claiming the interstitial cystitis medication causes serious vision damage, namely maculopathy — a degenerative disease of the retina. Further, the drug manufacturer has been accused of knowing the Elmiron vision risks and not disclosing them.
