San Mateo, CA The upscale US-based clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch has recently come under fire for discrimination against a Muslim employee for wearing her hijab in a Hollister store—even though she wore her hijab to the job interview and was hired with the expectation that the 19-year-old college student would be allowed to wear her hijab on the job.

Washington, DC The Council on American-Islamic Relations has filed a complaint against clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch for firing a Muslim employee who refused to remove her hijab, a head scarf which has varying religious connotations in the Muslim faith.
