Washington, DC About 308,000 Baja Motorsports Mini Bikes and Go-Carts are being recalled because the gas cap can leak or detach from the fuel tank on the recalled mini bikes and go-carts, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. In addition, the throttle can stick due to an improperly positioned fuel line and throttle cable, posing a sudden acceleration hazard to consumers.

Midland, TX The family of a Texas woman killed in a head-on Texas car crash on the first day of summer has hired a lawyer to bring a wrongful death suit on her behalf. Marina Lisa Robles and her passenger Joe Luis Ramon, both 47, were killed when the car they were driving was struck by a business vehicle driven by a man with a "history of alcohol and / or drug offences," according to the Robles family's attorney.

Toyota to Recall 17,000 2010 HS250h Lexus Vehicles

Washington, DC Toyota announced that it will recall certain model year 2010 HS250h Lexus vehicles for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standards No. 301, "Fuel system integrity." When the vehicle was rotated following a crash test as required, the amount of fuel leakage exceeded the allowable limits. Potentially, 17,000 vehicles could be affected.

Fire Hazard Forces General Motors Recall

On June 8 General Motors (GM) announced it was recalling 1.5 million cars and trucks worldwide from the 2006 to 2009 model years worldwide to repair problems with a heated windshield washer-fluid system that could short circuit and cause a fire. GM said it had received reports of five fires. The recall includes several crossovers, sport utility vehicles, pickups and passenger cars.

Detroit, MI Chrysler is recalling approximately 600,000 vehicles because of brake or wiring problems that could cause safety issues. The recall, which affects minivans and Jeep Wranglers, was announced on June 6, 2010.
