Ski-Doo Snowmobiles Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

Consumers Advised to Stop Using Ski-Doos Immediately

BRP US Inc., of Sturtevant, WI., is recalling approximately 430 Ski-Doo Snowmobiles as the friction created between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover can cause the hose to pierce. This can cause fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.

To-date, BRP has had two reports of fuel leakage and five additional reports of hose wear. This follows on from a previous recall of the 2007 and 2008 Skandic SWT V-800 due to explosion hazard.

The Ski-Doos were sold at dealers nationwide from March 2006 through May 2008.
