Possible E. Coli in Nebraska Beef Prompts Recall

Thousands of Pounds of Ground Beef Recalled

Nebraska Beef, Ltd., of Omaha, NB., is recalling approximately 531,707 pounds of ground beef components that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The recall includes various types of beef products, and the shipping containers and product labels have "EST 19336" inside the USDA mark of inspection. However, the USDA notes that these products were further processed into ground beef and will likely not bear the establishment number "EST. 19336" on products available for direct consumer purchase.
