Pizza Hut

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Pizza Hut on behalf of all current and former Pizza Hut employees nationwide employed as an RGM or Restaurant Training Manager at any time between August 18, 2000 and the present. The suit alleges that the company improperly classified the plaintiffs as executives, when in reality, 90% of their working time was spent performing production-related, non-exempt tasks such as making pizzas, taking telephone orders and cleaning the facilities. The suit alleges that the company is violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and therefore the plaintiffs are seeking to recover unpaid overtime wages.

I worked for Pizza Hut back in 1995-2004 and then again from 2013-2014. While as an employee for them during the first period in 1997 I was hired in the Albany Area to be a shift manager and then promoted to Assistant Manager, during the times at this position I would be the Manager, cook, waitress, and also when I returned back again to Pizza Hut in 2013-2014 I was hired as an Assistant Manager, where I was a cook, waitress, delivery driver and would work my store usually with just a driver on especially once I was promoted to manager. I was also let go from Pizza Hut after my Area Supervisor wrote me up for something that one of my crew members did, He was aware of the situation for a month but never informed me that it was going on and then towards the end of the month came in and advised me of it and told me that he was putting me on a 90 day action plan and then after approximately 30 plus days I was let go.
