Santa Clara, CA: A settlement has been reached in a five year-long unfair business practices class action lawsuit pending against PayPal in which the plaintiffs allege, among other things, that the online payment company improperly handled disputed transactions on PayPal accounts and improperly placed holds and reserves on accounts or closed or suspended accounts.
The plaintiffs also claim that PayPal failed to provide annual error-resolution notices and monthly account statements under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act.
Settlement Class members include anyone with an active PayPal account between April 19, 2006 and November 5, 2015. Certain Settlement Class Members who had a hold or reserve placed on their account and/or who had their account closed or suspended by PayPal are eligible to receive a monetary payment upon submission of a valid claim form.

Louis Vuitton definitely needs to go after E-Bay and Pay-Pal for demanding the return of items that are a copyright infringement counterfeit items back to the seller who committed a crime and sold illegal items in the first place.
PayPal put limitations on my business account making it almost impossible to buy inventory. They demanded me to send a counterfeit that I had documented proof on back to the seller. E-bay just did the same thing!!!
These Companies have a monopoly together. They try to act like they are 2 different entities. If PayPal limits your account for upholding the USPS policy not to send counterfeit goods through the mail. They both have demanded this on a regular basis!!! My PayPal account has limitations making it near impossible to buy inventory for my small business. Since e-bay also processes the payments you make through PayPal, if PayPal is limiting your account. This is a huge monopoly!! Not like we have any choice!!!

Paypal did this to me as well I had a 500 limit they suspended my account .then closed out my account.after that they lowered my Amazon credit to 100.00 from 500.00 after I paid them off they closed my account the I had a furniture credit card thru synchrony bank then they lowered from 5000. To 2200. Then lowered it to 1600.00 I paid them off then they closed my account how can they legaly do this I was notified of this class action suit last year and I never heard no more. So what's the verdict on this lawsuit can someone advise me.

I had $40 balance, they froze account, called them as i was unable to pay when my financial situation got fixed. Was told i could pay it with my card. Never was able to pay it. Talked to numerous people who all stated i was ok'd to pay for balance, but was never able to have amount taken from checking account. My business was never able to start up due to them not allowing me to pay outstanding balance. They sent it to collection
