Old Homestead Steak House

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the famed eatery claiming management has been taking a prime cut of servers' tips. The class action lawsuit accuses New York's oldest steakhouse of illegally dipping into a tip pool and giving a cut to other non-serving employees, such as the restaurant's general manager, maitre d's, and service bartenders.

The class action lawsuit was brought to recover unpaid overtime wages and unpaid minimum wages and claims Old Homestead unlawfully expropriated tips pursuant to the Fair Standards Act. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of all servers that worked at the Ninth Ave restaurant over the past six years.
