Nissan and Infiniti Issue Urgent Recall

200,000 Cars and SUVs Affected

Nissan and Infiniti have issued an urgent recall of 200,000 cars and SUVs produced after 2007, due to a defect that could prevent the passenger airbag from opening during a crash.

The models affected are: 2007-2008 Altima, Altima Coupe, 350Z, Murano, Rogue, and Infiniti G35 Sedan, G37 Coupe, and EX35 Passenger vehicles equipped with continental automotive systems' occupant classification system control units.

Failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during impact could result in failure to provide adequate protection to the passenger in the event of a crash.
