Girls Hooded Passport Jackets Recalled due to Strangulation Hazard
Ms. Bubbles of Los Angeles, CA, is recalling about 55,000 girls blue denim passport jackets, because the jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children.
In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets or sweatshirts.
The recalled blue denim jackets have a white terrycloth underlay lining and drawstring. The jackets were sold in children's sizes medium (7-10), large (11-14) and x-large (15-16). Style number BF1400 KP is printed on the hang tag attached to the garment.
They were sold through T.J. Maxx, J.C. Penney, and Forman Mills stores nationwide from August 2007 through December 2007 for about $10.
