Santa Clara, CA: During the past five years, Macy’s has faced allegations that it violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by making automated calls for debt collection purposes.

Specifically, the allegations stated that customers with Macy’s credit card account received automated calls to their cell phones from Department Stores National Bank and/or FDS Bank for debt collection purposes.

A $12.5 million settlement was reached in a class action lawsuit over those alleged improper automated calls. The case is Ameer A. Hashw v. Department Stores National Bank, and FDS Bank, case no. 0:13-cv-00727-RHK-BRT.

The TCPA prohibits “any person” in the United States from placing robocalls “to any telephone number assigned to a… cellular telephone service… or any service for which the called party is charged for the call.”

According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), robocalls and telemarketing calls are the most consumer complaints. The FCC requires private robocallers to have prior consent to robocall or robotext your cell phone—unless you are the federal government.

I called everyday macy,s customer service,bloomingdale for fraud claiming and I called 2-3 month macy,s executive office group,and I sent to all my evidence to c,e,o,mr,michael, l,corbet,and vice president mr,G,steve, oabout certified restrition mail on nov- june21,2019,the hacker spent to outside of macy,s, I didnt have a American express,macy,scredit card, I have a pletnium macy,s, credit card of limit was a $12,500,00, they, I mean hacker spent from dec6,2017,$44,320,46, I started to called to macy,s,and 3credit bureau, 8 dec.2017, before,they spent ,I refunded on $9320,46,,plus,08/21/2017,refund $10,126,78, I never got credit for it also they spented out of macy,s, $16,160,89,on 03/05/2018,$11,590,92,00, on 05/14/2018, & $17,246,00,total they spent $121,000,00, also I refunded,not exchanged on 02/19/2018, $4332,28,and,$3022,92,they made me a crazy,accused me,and races me, I never spent,they opened 13 differents credit card,possesion of my id, they kept sent to me a billing statements, and 4 times billing statement from debt collection compny,i had a lots of stress because,fo all those happened to me I had an automobile accident on 21/03/2019,i hit the front of my car,it was a my fall,the car cost was $70,000,00,i didnt have a credit to buy a car, they should give me a reimberce all to me,and plus,my hard time,made me a lost lots of memory,races,disability senior,jh

I was being called by Macys everyday including Sunday,from 7 to 10 times a day. .I was stressed ended up on ER .Doctor ask me why was I so stress out it was affecting my liver. .I was embarrassed to tell him so I made up an excused. This happened on August 8,2018,
I had to changed my cell phone I couldn't take an longer..
