Igloo Recalls Marine Coolers Following Reports of Injuries


Consumers Required Stitches on Arms and Legs

About 7,200 Igloo Marine Elite Coolers are being recalled because the sharp edges on the stainless steel latch attached to the cooler can cause lacerations.

So far, Igloo Products has received 8 reports of lacerations requiring stitches on the consumers' legs or arms.

This recall involves Marine Elite coolers sold in white with stainless steel latches. The coolers were sold in 4 sizes: 72 quart, 94 quart, 128 quart and 162 quart.

The coolers were sold at West Marine stores nationwide from January 2008 to July 2008 for between $80 and $375.
