American Honda Finance Corporation, WFS Financial, Inc.; and Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

Class action complaints have been filed alleging discriminatory practices against American Honda Finance Corporation, the lender for the Honda Motor Company; WFS Financial, Inc., one America's largest independent auto loan lenders; and Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, the lender for Toyota Motor Company. The suits allege that these companies discriminated against African American and Latino customers by charging them a higher rate of interest on auto loans than what was charged to white customers who had comparable credit ratings.

I'm an African American women that has engaged in an auto installment loan 2012 with a high interest rate on a 620-640 credit score. Car purchased is a 2012 Honda Accord paying 599.40 per month with a 6 year plan. I was told after trading in my 2010 Honda Civic due to the battery failing, I would only be able to invest in a new car in order to receive the car loan from Honda Financial Service and unfortunately need to depend on owning a car.
