Club Car Golf Carts Recalled Following Report of Injury

Washington, DC: Club Car is recalling about 1800 Precedent 12 Golf and transportation vehicles following a report of personal injury . The alleged defect in the golf cart involves the passenger side hip restraint. It can fracture, causing a fall hazard.

The recalled vehicles are various sizes, models and colors of model year 2012 Precedent I2 golf and transport vehicles used for short-distance transportation. The vehicles can be identified by model and serial number. The model number is indicated in the first two letters of the serial number and can be found above and to the right of the accelerator pedal.

Club Car has received one report of injury involving bruised ribs when a passenger fell from the vehicle.

The vehicles were sold through authorized Club Car dealers nationwide in February 2012 for between $5,000 and $8,000.

The golf carts were manufactured in the USA by Club Car, LLC, of Augusta, Ga.
