Chrysler Recalls 209,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs

- by

Detroit, MI: Chrysler is recalling 209,724 Jeep Liberty SUVs made between July, 2003 and July, 2005, due to a corrosion issue that could lead to dangerous loss of control. In some cases, corrosion of a lower control suspension arm could lead to a fracture and separation.

The recall includes states on the eastern seaboard and the midwest. "Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear lower control arms on all affected vehicles originally sold in, or currently registered in the NHTSA defined salt belt states, free of charge,"the NHTSA said in a statement.

Damage to the axle, body fender, tire and such. Jeep dealership confirmed VIN number was a recall and will fix part but not other damage.
