Retired employees have filed a class action lawsuit against the construction and mining equipment company to preserve healthcare benefits promised to them under collective bargaining agreements. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Nashville, TN and claims employees were assured free lifetime healthcare coverage and therefore Caterpillar is breaching labor contracts and benefit plans.
