Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association has filed a class action lawsuit against one of the largest transportation companies in the world for allegedly failing to disclose or properly document compensation provisions in its lease agreements. Bridge Terminal Transport (BTT) allegedly charged truckers for fuel and fuel related transaction fees and illegally charged truckers for insurance related administration fees. The above allegations violate federal truth in leasing regulations. The class may include up to 6,000 current and former drivers who have had lease agreements with BTT since June 2000.
