Browning-Ferris, Inc.

has reached a settlement with its former employee, Deborah Brown, in regards to a wrongful dismissal suit. The company will pay $200,000 for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The company dismissed Brown allegedly because of her Crohn's disease, a bowel disorder, due to fear for her safety, although medical experts had stated that her safety was not in danger.
