BlueGreen Vacations Faces Timeshare Consumer Fraud Class Action Lawsuit

- by

Santa Clara, CA: A consumer fraud class action lawsuit has been filed against Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited Inc, by two women in California who allege they sustained financial damages due to misleading information the defendant provided them on purchasing a time-share.

Filed by Kyle Miles and Jasmine Miles, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, the lawsuit claims that Bluegreen Vacations made several false representations regarding a timeshare contract, including the total cost of the contract. Further, the plaintiffs assert that the company promised that they would buy back the contract from the consumers if they were unhappy with the timeshare.

Kyle and Jasmine Miles seek a trial by jury, restitution, enhanced damages, legal fees and all relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Todd M. Friedman and Adrian R. Bacon of the Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman in Beverly Hills, California.

The case is US District Court for the Eastern District of California Case number 1:16-cv-00937-LJO-JLT

We got tempted with free tickets and cash from bluegreen resorts in Wisconsin dells at their Christmas mountain resort. We were attacked by 4 sales reps they kept pushing and pushing and pushing for us to buy kept lowering prices for us and promising more free things the more we said no. I was still kinda drunk as it was the morning after a fun night so I just wanted it to be over and said yes stupidly. We asked how much maintanence fees would be yearly as we dont make a lot of money as it is . They said no more then 300$ . It's our first year owning with them and we have had about 1100$ in maintenance fees for a every other year point system timeshare. They also took a random 50$ out of my account recently for who knows what! We are furious and can not afford for this to rise we need out now!

I'm compelled to write this after getting spammed/harassed by multiple timeshare companies who want me to "sign up". I purchased a timeshare in Arizona back in 2005. I was a single mother of three and thought this was going to be a way to take great vacations with my kids (if not now) in the future. I diligently paid off the $10,000.00 purchase and all was fine. Or so I thought. Then Bluegreen came in and purchased the timeshare property, so like magic, now I was a member of Bluegreen. Right after that I was hit with an invoice for $2,000.00 that was to be paid IMMEDIATELY. When I called to see what was up, I was told that I needed to pay Bluegreens' maintenance fee (even though I was paid up through the other timeshare) and that I was already late, so they added late fees, collection fees, etc., etc. It was mind-boggling. And none of it was my choice. What was once a reasonable financial situation, was now astronomical and unaffordable. Bluegreen said that if I could no longer afford it, I would have no choice but to sell my deed back. $13,000.00 down the drain. I couldn't afford an attorney at the time, so that's what I had to do. They told me there were no other options. That was in 2012, and I'm still sick about it.

OUR 7 children were forced to go more than 9 hours without food!!!!! They kept promising us 10 more minutes...jut typing up the contracts now... 20 more minutes...etc.

We were told it would be a 2 hour presentation but it went on and on. We initially decided to purchase the 10000 point package, and they began processing the applications. We then informed the agents at 12 o clock that our 7 children were alone in the hotel room and had not eaten breakfast since we had checked in late that evening and the presentation was early the next morning thus we had no time to feed them anything other than the popcorn provided in the room, before attending the presentation that morning. They insisted it would only be another 20 minutes or so but it dragged on and on. FINALLY about 4 pm we were in the process of closing the sale with the agent upstairs doing the recorded line and we came to #14 I think it was which stated that we must agree no one had guaranteed that Bluegreen would repurchase or sell the timeshare on our behalf if we later felt the need to sell. THIS WAS DIRECTLY CONTRADICTORY to what we had been led to believe and when Mr. Joseph Alami told us that if we later wanted to sell there was a simple $49 fee and that they would sell it for us we understood that to be a guarantee, as they had repetitively insisted they sell many of these packages each day and thus it would be "no problem at all" if we should choose to do so later. He even went as far as to tell us it might take up to 90 days to resell. We felt at that point that there was no risk to us, this being the case as if we were dissatisfied with our purchase, or were financially strapped in the future, they would be able to resell it for us for just the $49 fee. Upon being asked to agree that we had NOT been guaranteed this we were FURIOUS, we felt we were purposely deceived, and had been at that point kept from feeding our children for almost 9 hours, always being told, "Oh this part goes really fast, oh they are typing it up now it is going to be really fast just 20 more minutes over and over and over!!!!" At that point we informed the closing agent that that was directly contradictory to what we were told and that we NEEDED to go to our children who were probably badly worried since we told them it would only be maybe 2 hours, and they were very hungry, they insisted we wait for Mr. Alami so they could 'clear this up' but as we waited we got angrier and angrier. No one seemed to care about our children (or ourselves for that matter!) being left with no food all day, no one offered to so much as phone the room for us, or send food to the room, no one offered us anything to eat ourselves, only soda drinks were offered. It was TERRIBLE and I believe we could probably actually sue you for this conduct which bordered on forced child neglect. We have NEVER EVER left our children for 8 hours without food and if we had not been being pressured and goaded into 20 more minutes at a time we would have never done so of our own volition! Our children were in tears and famished upon our return! I felt like a terrible parent, and all so Bluegreen could HOOK us!!!! Upon leaving we gathered some of the paperwork they had given us initially and later I saw beside our name that we had been signed up for the Tour with HOOK and there was a guest below us whose name said "NO HOOK' beside it, and that finalized our total and complete disgust with your company! That is exactly how we felt HOOKED....HOW DARE YOU TRY to pitch how Blue Green vacations cares about making it affordable to spend time together as a family WHILE forcing us to be separated from our 7 children for hours, all to turn a profit on us!!!! This was a terrible terrible experience and to be honest I plan to at the very least share my experience with as many forums, online and offline as possible, as well as to consult my attorney to see what a lawsuit against your company would entail as we were completely dehumanized by your sales HOOK! SHAME ON YOU!

2. To add insult to injury, we were promised a $25 Bass Pro shops card upon check-in when we signed up for the package but were denied this incentive at check-in and told by a customer service agent that it was because more than 30 days had elapsed between when we signed up for the package and when we booked our dates. No one had informed us that we needed to book within 30 days to receive the incentive! It was a mere 34 days between when we booked and when we purchased and yet the rep on the phone insisted she could do nothing for us. So THAT was a classic bait and switch.

We attended a Bluegreen presentation in Tennessee last year, after the big speech and videos they shared we went to a desk to talk with a Rep, as many others do we showed interest in this timeshare which was a mistake. However we did stress to her that are main interest would be cabin rentals at the low price they quoted during their presentation of the $69. per night. It was at this time at least 7 people swarmed us telling us all these advantages, it was a whirlwind, we would get cheap cruises, airfare, car rentals, 69$ stays in cabins and motels across the United States, get always using the Charter package. Even told us that we could deduct the interest from the mortgage off our taxes. Once they had us hooked another person shows up, (this makes 8 people working on us) this man says to another one standing there why dont we just let them apply for the Barclays card, they could put the amount on it and the interest would be a lot cheaper, they would save a lot of $$$$. Of course our minds are racing and before we knew it we signed on the dotted line. They scheduled us for training a month later, we went and explained we were not happy with this at all the trainer said it is okay it will just take time to figure it out. we then kept contacting them in January , needing to file our taxes we wanted to know when to expect the form where we paid interest on the timeshare. After multiple calls every week for two months we were finally informed that since we put it on the Barclays card that we could not use this timeshare purchase as a tax deduction. This is just a few deceptions that occurred. When we called and complained the person on the other end expressed that they only hit the high points, I said you mean they hit the LIE POINTS!!!! I could go on and on about the lies but I am sure you have all lived them also. I think Bluegreen should be shut down and forced to pay everyone back, I also feel that Bass Pro (where they hooked us in first) and Barclays credit card services are all just as guilty and should also be charged in this mess!!!!!!,

Fees for everything, we have been on multiple waiting lists for months with no response, minimal avail to decent resorts. Is there a class action lawsuit to join?

Jan 2018 we had “won” a 4day/3night stay in Orlando and had a year to use it. In May 2018 we received a devastating call that my Grandmom had a stroke and was unresponsive. We had to get to FL ASAP. I used our “free” stay in Orlando to help with cost since this was an unplanned trip. When we got to FL we got another call that my grandfather fell & was rushed to the hospital. He broke some bones and needed stitches to the head. We drove back and forth from Orlando to Stuart (north of West Palm Bch) to be with them.
Now we had to do the meeting for our “free” hotel stay. They wouldn’t take no for an answer. I just wanted to leave. It was like a CULT – they kept pressuring us - we kept saying no… and somehow we ended up signing papers. We were in such an emotional state of mind. All I wanted to do was get to my Grandmom and be by her side. They kept us there for hours… My Grandmom died while we were signing the papers, two weeks later my granddad died.

Fast forward to the first payment – I had requested to have the payments withdrawn on the 1st of the month, they did it on the 17th. So I called and adjusted the withdrawal date. Come Aug 2018 I started getting collection calls. I was super confused since I am on auto pay. On Sept 4 2018 I get a collection call from a very demanding person, she explains to me that YES they changed my auto withdrawal date to the 1st but my due date is still the 17th. So they are withdrawing AFTER my payment is due (this of course was NOT explained to me as I was under the impression I would be paying a head). So I make a double payment that day via my checking account. Later that day my dog suffered a horrible accident and my other grandfather was rushed to the hospital. Two days later I get another collections call while I was at the hospital, I explained to the person that I have already resolved my issue with a double payment on the 4th. I am now staying at the hospital with my pop-pop who was scared to be alone & my husband was caring for our dog. The collections calls kept coming and I just disregarded them as I had already handled this and was feeling harassed by BG. My grandfather passed away Sept 15th (yes 3 grandparents within a few months of each other). On Oct 1st 2018 (still getting collections calls) I answer the call and the person & I get into a huge fight on the phone – my 2nd payment on Sept 4th was not processed, so I give them my debit card and make a 2nd payment.

NOW I AM PAYING A HEAD BY 17 DAYS. You would think the collection calls would stop right??? NOPE!!! Every month I was harassed with collection calls, I finally called to speak to a supervisor named Mike, I threatened legal action and he assured me that I would not receive any more phone calls. The collection calls and harassment continued. In LATE March 2019 I spoke with “Mike” and I told him I would be getting an attorney - he told me that I was not paying a head like I assumed – I lost my mind, all the raw emotions of this whole nightmare and the grief of my loss surrounded by Blue Green came out. I was a basket case. He explains to me that my 2nd payment in Sept was cancelled, so I asked about the Oct double payment – he told me there isn’t a 2nd payment. I said OH YES THERE IS!!! So he reads me all the notes and says I see where you keep saying you are paying a head but in reality you are not. We hang up I pulled all my statements and found the 2nd payment, I call him and said I am emailing you right now with proof of my 2nd payment. As we are on the phone he said “oh no… oh my… oh oh ugh..” I said can you please explain what that means he said if I tell you, you will be getting an attorney for sure. He said that my double payment was posted to someone else’s account.
UNFREAKINGREAL!!!!
Oh and we weren't able to use our points for the dates of our vacation - it was all booked up. So we had to use RCI, pay additional money and use all our points.

Service Fees have been Increased over 400% and I am being charged for 3 Time Shares when I only bought one. Initially, I was charged $59.00 a month for Service Fees. Within a Year the Fees were raised up and up until now they are at $287.00 per Month. I bought on Bronze Time Share worth 15000 point per Year. I am now being charge $287.00 Per Month for 3 - 5000 Point Time Shares. I have been a Member for 2 Years and 3 months and haven't taken a vacation as of this time. I was told that my 15000 Point would allow me to take 1 out of country Vacation a Year for 7000 Point and then could take 2 In country Vacations a Year for 3500 Points per Vacation. I asked about taking a Vacation to Peru and was expecting to be able to go for 7000 Points. I was told that it would take my entire 15000 Points to go on that Vacation. But If I upgraded my package I would be able to make that happen. I am so upset that these people could just bold face lie to you to make a sale and then you are stuck with total lies. One other thing, I never received a Home Unit as my base. I told them that I didn't need one because I would be living in the area. So they are charging me for a Unit with maintenance fees that I don't have.

Agree they are oversold and continue to make this a much worse issue. We are not OWNERS. BG should be forced to stop selling until they acquire sufficient locations

I too am frustrated with rising maintenance fees, inability to book when I need to, the pressure to upgrade when I finally do get to go on vacation. I want in on the class action!!!

We bought after being sucked in on a "free" trip to Disney World. We were fed the line about family time and how much cheaper than a hotel with so much more space. The maintenance fees quoted were for 6 months, and since our points were for every other year, maintenance would be less. LIES!! We were also told that if " for some bizarre reason we were unhappy" they would have no problem buying it back. More lies!! Oh, and trying to actually book a place you are interested in going to? You can forget about it. We can never get a big enough space for our family at a time we can actually get there. We have settled on using points to avoid loosing them.
Sign me up for any lawsuits. The quicker, the better.

They are nothing but scam artist and liars. We were pressured into our timeshare purchase a year ago and it didn't help that we just recently had a death in the family(we were vulnerable.) The maintenance fees have doubled from $800.00 to $1300.00 annually already. We have paid off the timeshare but haven't used any of it. We would like to get out before we lose anymore of our retirement funds.

Yes this is absolutely true everyone who has these complaints, we too have had issues and live in Springfield MO and cannot believe Bass Pro Johnny Morris is a part of this and promotes this business. We too would love to start a class action suit against them. We need to protest that company at Blue Green in front of Bass Pro.

My fiance and I bought a timeshare under duress. I have never experienced that degree of the pressure sales tactics. They kept us in the room for more than three hours after which my fiance convinced me to buy. We made a $10,000 purchase and it has been a nightmare ever since 2016. I have been trying to sell it untruthfully for almost two years. I just got a call that they would take it back without us having to pay a penny more. My question is; what about our $10,000 investment, the maintenance fee for the last three days and the extra expense when we needed to get an extra night stay. They has to be a law against that.

We have owned our Bluegreen timeshare for about 7 years, and have used it once. We have paid our yearly dues faithfully. When we first bought the timeshare we were told that Bluegreen owned 4 hotels in California, and that we could use our points at any of them. When we tried to stay at one, we were told that Bluegreen had sold them, and if we wanted to stay there we would need to buy points through RCI. We can't afford to fly all four of our family members to Florida every year to use the points we have. There is a resort in Hawaii, but we can never book it, though we have tried to every year. We are very disappointed, and would like out.

We spent $20,000 on our Bluegreen timeshare property in Branson MO in 2012 and are miserable everytime we think of it. We have tried to use it for events we have to travel for and can not as they promised. We have tried to sell it and paid fees for 2 years and heard nothing . We have even asked our kids and many others if they want it and none of them want it. Just writing this and the LIES we were told make me throw up.

We purchased a sampler package at our last visit for $800 and was only told that we could not use it during the summer month. Now in December we want to book in Feb or March and they can't seem to find any room for 6 people. This is the third time I tried to book a vacation. We are educators and only have limited time frames to use vacation during the school year. They have lied to us! Fraud all the way around! Can't book on a major holiday..... Yep Presidents' Day is a holiday folks . Then told I can't book two rooms to accommodate 6 people because they don't have the room for 6. I was ok using points to do so. Just want a vacation and it has turned into a nightmare.

My wife and I bought a time share at Big Cedar resort in Branson, MO in 2004 and later added more holdings to that purchase. We have deeds for those purchases, totaling well over $10,000, and we are fully up to date on taxes and fees. At a meeting last evening, conducted in our area by people claiming to be with a timeshare owner advocacy organization, we were advised our purchases of timeshares at Big Cedar (BlueGreen big cedar) are less than worthless and that changes in Florida law in 2013 and 2015 lets BlueGreen big cedar) lock us -- not in Florida -- into rising annual fees forever, even if we could sell the interests. So, the consultants offered a "Settlement" to us for $6,500 to allow us to transfer our Bluegreen Big Cedar investment to them and be free of future obligations to pay taxes and fees that we were told would have gone on into perpetuity and even to our heirs when we die. But that also means we would essentially be paying another company $6,500 so that I could transfer my Big Cedar bluegreen timeshare interests, and deeds, over to them for free. I now am suspicious of everyone associated with timeshares at Big Cedar bluegreen and don't know who can be trusted. I believe there has been gross failure to disclose critical information to us by Big Cedar bluegreen, whose past meetings with owners included assertions that the timeshares would continue to be able to be sold for thousands and that the value was rising. There also was no mention of how changes in Florida law would affect people in other states and what kinds of options we might have going forward. I would welcome the opportunity to be part of any class-action lawsuit involving these kinds of issues.

Nearly all the comments made apply to us as well. Exaggerations and outright lies are the rule not the exception. Nothing but cheap, used car salesmen. I want in on the suit(s).

I would also like to be contacted if a class action lawsuit is pursued. I'm a Platinum owner of Bluegreen timeshare. My wife and I were robbed of approx. $80,000 from this company. We now pay $3600 a year in maintenance fees. We were promised things such as the buy back option if we were unhappy with the timeshare as well as other things. These promises are nothing more than lies.

this is a timeshare you pay taxes, pay for furniture never get any of it paid for. but boy do they ever feed you a line when trying to sell you something that you can never use, Harass you, threaten you when your spouse dies and wants to ruin your credit. My dealings with them is unreal and to long to tell right now but I dont have enough time to rite about it.

We bought a very small package two years ago after a high pressure exotic sounding presentation. We were told all of the wonderful features of the package and what the annual maintenance fee would be. Well, first off, the annual maintenance fee they quoted was a six month fee, so our maintenance fees immediately doubled. In fact they went from $344 per year to $729 per year. For this fee, we can stay one weekend per year in a two-star "resort". What fraud. Then we found out that every feature comes with another fee, such as using your points in one year instead of the next, or transferring unused points to a hotel points system. We want out of this package, and we would never recommend anyone buy from Bluegreen.

I am tired of the poor service I receive. I'm tired of being badgered about buying more points. I'm tired of the constant increase of maintenance fees and decrease of maintenance. I have pictures of the poor upkeep, roaches that came with the refrigerator replacement in a unit. Tired of being told I can leave. I have pictures, emails and friends who were with me in these poor conditions. There was even a place with feces in the toilet on check in. I'm told I need more points so I can stay in the presidential units!

We were also bulled into joining Blue-Green The fees have doubled over what we were told they would be.It is almost impossible to book a trip when we want to go somewhere. We received a call from Blue-Green today and told that we could just turn in our deed and get out from under them. All Blue-Green wants is peoples money and do not care if you can use it or not.

Same here. Was scammed. I was told that this timeshare would allow us to get a hotel domestically for only $25 a day. They also sold us on the idea that we could get a Disney Resort with our points. That is so far frokm the truth. When I was ready to go to Disney World I was told that not only did I not have enough points but if I wanted to pay the remaining points out of pocket I had to reserve a year or two in advance. I was also made to believe that I could use my points to any international all-inclusive resort. Well I have been able to get a resort stay with the points, however they never told me that the all-inclusive meals are out of pocket. In other words I have to pay my flight, use points, and on top of that pay for the all-inclusive meals PER DAY! Flight approx $450 per person plus the use of my points that I pay for monthly, plus an all inclusive rate of approx $60-70 per day. I can get a better package deal online through any vacation website.

We too was brow beaten into a small package for $6,000 and promised these luxurious townhouse and condos. We are not able to get into any vacation locations we want they are saying we don't have enough points. Our maintenance fees was $300 last year and $600 this year we are trying to sell it through Pinnacle which is run by BlueGreen. It was a terrible mistake on our part and they are not living up to their promises. I would like to warn others from purchasing this excuse for a business. We also trusted it because Bass Pro was sponsoring it, we no longer trust Bass Pro, my husband won't shop there any longer. If there is anything you can do to help us we would like to join this class action lawsuit with BlueGreen

We purchased with Blue Green in 1909. This is 2017. We also tried to use our points in the beginning and were told the same, that it would be a year before we could do anything. We have a handicapped daughter and could not go that long, we had to plan a lot in the last minute. My husband is a disabled vet and I am also disabled since then. They have been taking 187.19 per month out of our bank account since 1909. Do the figures...Wow. They were taking this out of my husbands account and I didn't know this until now. We have stopped the payments and now they are badgering us almost every day. We were told by a company who wants to charge us 3000.00 to clear this account. We don't have that kind of money. Why can't the attorney General or someone help us? This company told us that we would never be free from them unless we hire them to intercede. ($3000.00) from a credit card. None of this is totally fair.

My husband died in August 2106. I got a hold of Bluegreen and told them the timeshare had never been used and I was not giving them anymore money. Well little did I know my sick husband (agent bone cancer well I never talked or no one called back until December She wanted me to sign papers and in have them notary sign them. I got to reading them and it said I could tell no one about what they were doing. . Told me they could not even get 2,000 for my share. Little did I know my husband had signed my name some man at Bluegreen threaten me that I owed them 1,500 in fees and I told him I did not sign the paper and I had no ideal that my husband who at the time was very sick and didnt know what he was doing at the time signed my name and he said so you are not going to pay the fees and I said no. They keep calling me sometimes twice a day and I will not answer. This man caused me so much stress I had to double my nerve pills. Since then some one called Judy called from Pinnacle vacations in Ft. Myers keeps calling me but after that man called I want nothing to do with them. I am still trying to deal with my husband death and I dont need the extra stress. He even wanted me to send a death certificate to show my husband was death. Like I told him contact the state of Missouri and they have a copy. He hung up..

Why I didn't check Bluegreen ratings on our 53rd anniversary when we were badgered into buying. Yes, we were entrawled with the cabins too, only to go to a customer orientation where they didn't orient us to anything just tried to sell us more points saying what we originallyt bought wouldn't get us much of anything. We felt we had to buy again since we were stuck with nothing. Thank God we cancelled withing the 3 day period. Now we are in a contract with USConsumer Attorneys out of San Diego at a cost of $4000 to get us out of our original contract where we still owe $14,000. I'm still check the US Attorney company out because of a few things recently. They were the only company we called that would take payments

Dear BassPro and Bluegreen Vacations,

We were very excited to purchase our timeshare. This purchase was made because we trust BassPro, not Bluegreen Vacations. We were shown the beautiful cabins and lodge at Big Cedar Wilderness Club. We thought to ourselves, "How perfect would this be to come here 2 to 3 times a year with our 4 children." We didn't want to fly or go anywhere else. ONLY Big Cedar. You can't imagine how upset we were when we got home and called to make our first reservations. This is when we found out the truth. The cabins were COMPLETELY booked out until next spring . . . nearly a year away!!!! We had no hope of enjoying what we were just shown on the tour. It was as if we just bought a new vehicle, but they told us we would have to wait a year before driving it.

We called the Wilderness Club back to discuss how upset we were. (Especially after we had shared our excitement with our family, who were also excited to get to stay in the cabins.) The Wilderness Club told us that we could get in earlier on cancellation and, of course, this meant "if" we were lucky and "if" the cancellation happened to be during a time that we could actually come and stay. We also learned that in order to get the cabin for the $89.00 a night, we would have to be in a 45 day window of making our reservations. Hello? How would this dream EVER be realistic with cabins that are reserved 11 months in advance!!! The cabins are continually being reserved, so that the 11 months are continually full.

The problem here is that there are too many timeshare owners who are trying to get into the same spot. This made us feel like a bunch of vultures trying to eat one carcass. It was so upsetting, after telling our children about our new vacation plan, to find out that this was not a reality. No time during the presentation or sales side were we ever told, "Oh and by the way, just so you know, these beautiful cabins that we are showing you - well, you won't be able to stay in them for a year." That would have been a very useful piece of information for us. Also, the soonest opening in the lodge was late Fall and it was ON A WEEKEND. This meant that we would have to use more points. EVERYONE wants the lesser point days (Monday to Thursday). And, if we wanted the next available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, at the lodge, it would also be NEXT SPRING.

We could clearly see that trying to schedule a vacation at Big Cedar Wilderness Club CABINS would be a very tense procedure. First, we would have to "hope" for a cancellation. Then we would have to "hope" that if there was a cancellation, it would be during a time that we could actually come. Then we would have to "hope" that we could reserve the cabin on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to use less points. Then we would have to "hope" that we would be booking within the 45 day window to be able to stay for $89-$99 dollars a night. AND WE KNOW THAT THE 45 DAY WINDOW IS NON EXISTENT. Why weren't we told this by our tour lady? XXXXX was so very kind. She showed us the cabin and asked us what we thought the nightly cost would be. We answered and she told us the true price, then she said, "but you can get this cabin for $89 dollars a night and if you upgrade to an extra room, it's $99." She NEVER told us that getting it for this price would be impossible because the cabin is fully reserved for nearly a year and the 45 day window could not happen because it would never sit, unreserved in that 45 day window. (Unless, there was a cancellation - then, like vultures, we could fight for the opening!)

We felt we were sold something unrealistic and impossible. They used these beautiful rooms to lure us in. We felt cheated when we found out the above truth. This would be like us showing our children a delicious piece of candy to get them to come in the house. Once in, we would offer them a banana to hopefully satisfy them, but tell them they could have the candy . . . in a year.

We trusted Bass Pro. We love this company. We feel that they should not have partnered with Bluegreen Vacations. If we ever had the opportunity to meet Mr. Johnny Morris, this is the one thing we would like to tell him. Making more cabins available to timeshare owners wouldn't hurt too. There are just so many timeshare owners wanting the cabins in this particular area that it has just been oversold. Many families might just decide to vacation in another state or beyond. But for our family, THIS was the spot. Someplace we could just drive to, not fly. Close enough to home that we could come up several times a year. We aren't the type that can book a year in advance. Three to four months would be tops for us. We really wish we would had been told this when we were being shown a place that was next to impossible to stay at. For this reason, we cannot, in good conscience refer Bluegreen Vacations to our friends and family.

After we realized the truth of what we had just purchased for nearly $20,000, we immediately cancelled our timeshare. We praise God that He led us to call immediately to book our cabin stay, which in turn, led us to find out the above. Had we waited a week or two, cancelling our timeshare would have been very difficult. We owe Our good Lord for this and thank Him for protecting our family.

Yes, my wife and I were brow-beaten" until we finally gave in and purchased a "starter" membership. We have tried to make reservations a places we would like to go, but we never have enough points. Most places that will accept our points are places we don't want to go. We feel duped! Nothing they promised has been met.

We purchased a blu Green time share as well. We signed contracts in 2008. They promised us a weekend at their resorts in Wisconsin dells, we arrived, but they did not have space available for several of us, so we we're put into an overflow hotel, crappy to say the least, not their property. We went through their spiel, we were told it was for the wi. Dells Christmas mountain, but when we got to the table, they said the property would be at Tennessee, but it did't matter. We get home and a week later we received a packet of papers that said, the property they sold us was inaccurate, so here's the new property description. Tried to cancel, but was told we couldn't and our deposit was non refundable. Grr.
