Ski-Doo Snowmobiles Recalled due to Explosion Hazard

Washington, DCBRP US Inc is recalling about 1,000 Ski-Doo Snowmobiles because the electrostatic changes can accumulate and spark in the fuel tank when the engine is left idling, posing an explosion hazard that could result in serious injuries or death.

The firm has received three reports of explosions, one involving minor burns to face and hands.

For a complete list of affected model/years see the link below. The recalled Ski-Doos were sold at Ski-Doo dealers nationwide from March 2004 through March 2010 for between $9,000 and $10,000.
