Edison Discrimination Suit is Déjà Vu All Over Again

San Mareno, CA: This is the third time since 1974 that Southern California Edison is being sued for racial discrimination. "This company has an inbred culture of racial intolerance that favors Caucasians and punishes African Americans and other non-Caucasians," says attorney Charles T. Mathews, who represents 11 plaintiffs in the latest class action against the company.

San Francisco, CA There is something marvelously fun about attorney Angela Alioto. The daughter of Sicilian immigrants, born and raised in San Francisco, she started law school at the age of 29 after her four children were born and has become a relentless anti-discrimination lawyer with a tidy list of courtroom victories and settlements related to everything from race to sexual orientation cases. She speaks it "Straight to the Heart," as her autobiography is titled.
