Orlando, FL:At the beginning of last year, Takata—the automotive parts company behind the largest automotive recall in the nation’s history—entered into a plea agreement with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). The company then declared bankruptcy a few months later, setting off an avalanche of legal filings throughout the world, with an international corporate restructuring effort continuing to this day. “It’s critical to remember that as this process plays out, consumers have and will continue to be hurt and killed by rupturing airbags,” says attorney Frank Melton of Newsome Melton, PA.

Attorney: It's Mind Boggling Ammonium Nitrate Was Used in Airbags

Houston, TX: A new Takata-related airbag lawsuit has been filed against Honda and Takata, alleging a motorist was seriously injured when her airbag exploded during a car crash. Attorney Mo Aziz—of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz—is part of the team that filed a lawsuit on behalf of Serena Martinez and has been involved in other airbag claims as well. Aziz says that these lawsuits are the result of an inadequate recall.

Orlando, FL Since the advent of airbags, car companies have made a big deal about providing cars that are safer because of features such as side curtain airbags, side impact airbags, driver side airbags and passenger side airbags. The problem, however, is when people suffer airbag injuries because of defective airbags. According to Raymond Bodiford, senior partner at Bodiford Law Group, serious injuries can occur when an airbag fails to work as intended.
