White River Junction, VT You can understand a patient’s reticence over starting the antipsychotic drug Zyprexa and the potential for the onset of Zyprexa diabetes. One 65-year-old bipolar patient who submitted a question to Drugs.com posed that very question after being started on 10mg of Zyprexa.

Zyprexa Plaintiff Still Suffers in Spite of Court Decision
March 17, 2014. By Gordon Gibb.
St. Louis, MO There is little doubt that the plaintiff in a Zyprexa side effects lawsuit is stricken with tardive dyskinesia likely caused by his use of Zyprexa over a time span of four years. However, in spite of the best efforts of his Zyprexa lawyer, Timothy Boehm’s lawsuit was lost after defendant Eli Lilly was granted summary judgment in the case. An appeals court upheld the lower court’s ruling.

Seattle, WA Patients taking medications understand that there is a risk of side effects, but when those medications put their health at risk, they question whether the benefits of the drugs outweigh the risks. Zyprexa side effects, which reportedly include a risk of weight gain and a suggested link between Zyprexa and diabetes, concern some researchers because Zyprexa has been used to treat adolescents, potentially putting them at risk of health problems into adulthood.

Zyprexa Side Effects are Deadly
November 21, 2007. By Heidi Turner.
St. Petersburg, FL There appears to be no group that is safe from the deadly side effects of Zyprexa. Seniors with dementia who are given the drug are at an increased risk of death, adults and children have a risk of suicidal tendencies and those who survive that may suffer from serious weight gain and diabetes. With all these potentially dangerous side effects associated with Zyprexa, can it still be said that the benefits of the drug outweigh the risks?
