Proctor & Gamble Settle Pampers Dry Max Class ActionCincinnati, OH: A multi-million dollar settlement has been reached between Procter & Gamble and class action plaintiffs in a lawsuit that alleged Pampers Dry Max diapers caused diaper rash and other skin problems in infants. The settlement, if approved, would see P&G spend $400,000 for training programs in pediatric skin health, and roughly $1000 per child to the 59 plaintiffs in the class action. Lawyers' fees are expected to be in the region of $2.7 million. P&G stated it will add a paragraph to the Pampers packaging that includes a reference to the Pampers website, three paragraphs to the Pampers website about diaper rash with links for more information, and a toll-free number to call for information on diapering. If the settlement is approved, it would end the major legal action over a new diaper variety.
